Ficus binnendijkii 'Alii'
This plant was originally commercially cultivated in Hawaii – ‘Alii’ is Hawaiian for “Chief”.
Ficus 'Alii'. It's one of the toughest members of the family.
It is not only durable, but beautiful with its strap-like leaves.
It is more closely related to Ficus benjamina (the common "weeping fig") than the other Ficus species that are commonly grown for house plants.
However, it grows about 25% slower and displays foliage that is quite different than Ficus benjamina.
